Traveler Weekly Blended Pay : $2607 weekly ($23/hr w2 + $1687/week stipend)

Locals Hourly Pay : $57/Hour

Position Summary:

The ECHO Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms on patients to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.

This role involves operating ultrasound equipment, recording results, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform echocardiograms on patients to assess heart function and detect abnormalities

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring it functions correctly

Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have

Review and interpret preliminary results, highlighting any abnormal findings for the cardiologist

Record and store echocardiogram images and patient information in the medical records system

Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment

Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety

Monitor patient vitals and response during the procedure to ensure their well-being

Maintain continuing education and stay updated with advances in echocardiography technology and practices

Provide emotional support to patients and their families during the diagnostic procedure

Required Qualifications:

2 years of experience Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Current BLS from AHA

ARDMS
