Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master’s degree, 1 year of specialty experience, and an active license for a day shift hospital rehab assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a hospital rehab administration department
Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
Primary patient population includes individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
Utilizes Epic as the EMR system
Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders
Consult, educate, and train patients and caregivers
Provide evidence-based clinical services with appropriate care planning
Supervise, mentor, and educate colleagues, new employees, and students as needed
Participate in patient care conferences and regular staff meetings
Requirements
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active state Speech-Language Pathologist license required if applicable
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, valid through the assignment
At least 1 year of experience in the specialty required
Experience with Epic charting preferred
Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, manual dexterity, standing, walking, and other physical tasks
