About the Role

The Senior Manager, Alumni and Advancement Operations is a strategic leader supporting Flinders University’s alumni engagement and fundraising efforts. This role oversees gift processing, prospect research, and moves management, providing the insights and systems that enable effective fundraising. Working closely with Business Intelligence, it drives data-led strategy and reporting to identify opportunities and measure impact. supports alumni engagement through analytics and operational leadership, helping evaluate the reach and effectiveness of programs across 135,000+ alumni

Relationships fundamental to this role are: The Director, Alumni & Advancement, Prospect Researcher, Gift Administration Coordinator, Advancement staff, Colleges, Finance, Legal, ICT, Marketing and Communications and, externally, Donors, alumni & sector networks

About You

The successful candidate will be an extensively experienced in database administration, system development, and maintenance, preferably in large not-for-profit or higher education settings. An authentic leader, you possess high level oral communication and interpersonal skills including a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and networks.

A strategic leader, you will also demonstrate:

Familiarity with gift governance and services.

Broad to extensive experience in presenting complex information to leaders and peers.

Networking proficiency within the sector.

The ability to adhere to competing deadlines in a complex work environment

About the Office of Alumni and Advancement

The Alumni and Advancement team is committed to actively engaging our graduates in the life of the University through meaningful programs, benefits, services, and communications.
