Chef – Popular Italian Dining in Albury

Downtown Albury Pty Ltd is seeking dedicated and talented Chefs to join our restaurant in the vibrant city of Albury, NSW.

About the Full-Time, Ongoing Roles (2 Positions):

Our celebrated restaurant is a top destination for lovers of great Italian-styled food and wine. To further enhance our reputation, we are now looking for skilled and qualified full-time Chefs to join our kitchen team and contribute to our success.

Location: 472 Dean St, Albury, NSW

Salary: A salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum will be offered to the successful applicants.

Tenure: This is a full-time, ongoing position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver the best results.

• Prepare and cook meals under the supervision of senior chefs.

• Assist in managing kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control, and budgeting.

• Participate in the development and testing of new menu items.

• Ensure compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards.

• Work collaboratively with the management team to lead the venue to greater success.

About You:

You have a passion for the hospitality industry and stay updated on techniques and food trends. You demonstrate an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality while contributing to a cohesive and hardworking team environment.

To Be Successfully Considered You:

• Possess excellent relevant post-secondary hospitality (cooking) qualifications, to at least Certificate IV level or an agreed alternative.

• Have at least 2 – 3 years of professional experience.

• Are available across the working week, including weekends and nights.

• Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals, and have the determination to achieve them.

• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.

• Understand cost control, time management, prioritisation, and cost-efficient procurement practices.

• Have substantial experience working in a similar role.

• Are an excellent team player with great communication skills.

• Offer unrestricted full-time Australian working rights.
