We are looking for someone with primary cell culture experience as this team will be culturing a range of different types of primary cell lines, from various tissue. This person will join our client’s new CAR-T Screening team.
As a Lab Technician in our research team, you contribute to the technical input of the project and provide technical expertise in cellular assays and biochemical readouts to the Cell Therapy Discovery team. You conduct assays under the supervision of senior team members to obtain the scientific data required in accordance with the project timelines. You are responsible for the accuracy of the results, analysis of the conformity of the data, identification of gaps and implementation of corrective measures. Results that you report to senior team members are reliable and critical towards own data. Performing independent first-line trouble shooting and identification of improvements are also part of the job.
Your mission:
Working to support the CAR-T screening cascade, this role will support multiple teams and projects in the discovery pipeline. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining primary cell cultures for screening assays, but will also include but are not limited to the following:
Primary human cell culture
Primary T-cell activation, transduction, and maintenance
Cytotoxicity and cytokine release assays
Method development and optimization for cell-based assays
qPCR
Flow cytometry
Lentivirus production and titration
Various other procedures not mentioned herein
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
2+ years of experience as laboratory technician or in a comparable position
Advanced cell culture skills: primary cell culture experience is a must, CART experience is a plus
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience in cell-based assays is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Organized and accurate in your work but also flexible towards changing plans
Desire to learn new concepts and experimental procedures
Desire to learn how to solve complex problems with limited information
Ability to implement and independently interpret results of cellular assays for analysis of biological function and pharmacological evaluation of CAR-Ts or antibodies
