Chief Operating Officer (COO)/ VP of Operations – Roofing & Construction
Mississippi Gulf Coast On-site Full-Time
About Us
We’re a fast-growing commercial & residential roofing company (~$10M revenue and scaling to $15M+) with a reputation for quality, integrity, and innovation. We’re not just building roofs — we’re building a process-driven, tech-enabled roofing company that will set the standard for our industry.
We’re not just building a roofing company — we’re building a tech-enabled operating system for roofing. Our COO will help ensure the data and processes we run today support the innovations we’re developing for tomorrow.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to act as the owner’s right hand and run day-to-day operations across projects, warehouse, and field. This is a hands-on builder role, not a corporate corner office position. If you thrive in structure, love enforcing accountability, and get excited about scaling a company from $10M to $20M+, this is the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do
Own all day-to-day operations: project managers, superintendents, warehouse/inventory, and scheduling
Drive accountability and enforce SOPs across the company
Implement operational KPIs and dashboards (profitability, job progress, equipment tracking)
Reduce waste and improve efficiency — target: raise profitability from 8% 12%
Build operational capacity so the company can scale to $15M+ without breaking systems
Lead and develop managers and field leaders
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record in construction or specialty trades (roofing preferred, but not required)
Direct leadership over PMs, supers, or field ops at a company $10M–$50M+ in revenue
Experience working with documented processes, SOPs, and structured systems (non-negotiable)
Hands-on operator: comfortable enforcing structure, not just talking strategy
Strong communicator and motivator who knows how to hold teams accountable
Tech-friendly: comfortable with project management software, dashboards, and reporting tools
Strong leadership and organizational skills
