QC Environmental Monitoring Technician

As a QC Environmental Monitoring Technician, you will perform critical environmental monitoring tasks in controlled, classified manufacturing areas. This includes surface monitoring, viable air monitoring, non-viable particulate monitoring, and personnel monitoring. You will also be responsible for sampling critical utilities such as feed water, reverse osmosis water, water-for-injection, pure steam, and compressed gases. Additional duties include autoclaving laboratory supplies, performing general laboratory maintenance, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform environmental monitoring in controlled, classified manufacturing areas.

Conduct personnel monitoring as needed.

Sample critical utilities like feed water, reverse osmosis water, and pure steam.

Autoclave laboratory supplies and perform general laboratory maintenance.

Keep accurate manual and electronic records in accordance with company and regulatory policies.

Essential Skills:

Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

Laboratory experience is essential.

Environmental monitoring experience and/or knowledge of aseptic manufacturing operations.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in an associated science field preferred, but ample EM experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment:

This is a 100% on-site position in a lab and manufacturing space. The role requires flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, either from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, on a schedule of Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday. Initially, the schedule will be 5 days a week during the day, rotating Saturdays. Training will occur during the day for 2-3 months before transitioning to permanent shifts. Gowning is required to enter manufacturing areas.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of La Verne, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
