The candidate, part of a structured team, will personally follow the design of our RT cranes.

The Position reports to the Engineering Director of RT CRASNES ITALY.

The Design Engineer will operate as a Member of the Engineering Team.

Key roles for this position include:

• Project for quality & reliability improvement on current product;

• Project for cost improvement activity;

• Project for new product development;

• Project support for legislation and compliance activity.

The Design Engineer will also be expected to prepare all necessary documentation associated with all facets of Engineering work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main responsibilities of the position are:

• 3D models & Drawings and Bill of Materials preparation in a timely manner

• Current Engineering support

• Manufacturing support (Lean Manufacturing initiative) in order to collect and manage the issues submitted to him/her by Manufacturing and Suppliers

• Purchasing and other cross functional departmental support

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical education at High School / University Degree.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate would be preferred if he/she can demonstrate a brief experience (1-2 years) in similar role, in particular within construction equipment and/or agricultural equipment sector.

The required skills for this position are:

• 2D/3D CAD knowledge;

• Bill of materials management principles knoledge;

• Abilities in working with MS-Office based applications

The desired skills are:

• Experience within construction equipment sector

• Medium to heavy engineering design activity

• NX 3D CAD system ability and awareness

• Teamcenter system ability and awareness

• Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle based).

• Good understanding of design tools and techniques for problem solving

• General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles

• Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electric principles

• Good English (spoken and written).

• Availability to travel on an occasional basis.

General Aspects:

• A strong attitude to teamwork is required.

• Analytical Problem Solving is a focus point.

• Attitude to work in close contact with shop floor environment.
