Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)

Reporting to: Managing Director

About the Role:

A growing precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead operations on the shop floor. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment where consistency and adaptability are key. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and confident in managing people and production schedules.

Preferred Background:

Previous experience in production supervision or team leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Strong people management and communication skills.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise shop floor operations to ensure workflow efficiency and schedule adherence.

Interest in automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or general engineering.

Progress-chase jobs and resolve bottlenecks in collaboration with teams.

Conduct team briefings to communicate priorities and changes.

Escalate production issues to senior management as needed.

Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety policies.

Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive work environment.

Support conflict resolution and work closely with HR when necessary.
