The Medical Device Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant distribution of medical devices across regional or global markets. This role ensures timely delivery, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and optimal logistics performance while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Distribution Operations
Oversee daily operations of distribution centers and 3PL providers
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery
Monitor KPIs (OTIF, inventory turnover, transportation costs)
Compliance & Quality
Ensure adherence to FDA, ISO 13485, GDP, and internal SOPs
Support audits, recalls, returns, and documentation readiness
Inventory & Logistics Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels and resolve discrepancies
Lead annual physical inventories and related processes (exemptions, audits, reporting)
Resolve inventory accuracy issues in collaboration with other departments
Lead annual physical inventories and cycle count programs
Optimize transportation and warehouse processes (Lean, Kaizen)
Team Leadership
Lead and develop warehouse supervisors and logistics staff
Provide training on safety, SOPs, and regulatory standards
Foster a culture of collaboration and operational excellence
Closely cooperate with manufacturing, customer service, and other teams
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Customer Service
Support new product launches and market expansions
Manage vendor relationships and logistics contracts
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in regulated distribution or warehouse management
Strong knowledge of FDA, ISO standards, and ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Fluent in English; Czech language is an advantage
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with international distribution and customs compliance.
Familiarity with cold chain logistics or implantable devices.
Willingness to travel as needed
