Staff Accountant

Location: Seattle, WA

Contract Length: 6 months

Pay: $30 – $35/hour DOE

Overview:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 6-month contract role in Seattle, WA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has experience supporting general ledger functions, reconciliations, and month-end close. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance within the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis.

Support internal and external audits by providing documentation as needed.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including payroll, accounts payable, and finance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

2+ years of accounting experience; prior Staff Accountant experience preferred.

Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).

Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliations).

High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
