About Us

One of St. Louis’s most respected law firms, with a client-first philosophy and a collaborative team culture, we combine tradition with forward-thinking strategies to deliver outstanding legal services. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Firm Operations & Finance Manager to help us optimize operations, strengthen financial performance, and support long-term strategic growth.

Why This Role Matters

This is not just an “office manager” role — it’s a key leadership position at the heart of our firm. You will partner directly with the Managing Partner and Equity Partners to shape firm operations, oversee financial and HR functions, and ensure a high-performing, people-first workplace. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond day-to-day administration into true firm leadership and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee all day-to-day administrative functions to ensure seamless firm operations.

Implement and refine office policies that promote efficiency and compliance.

Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and facilities to support a professional, client-ready environment.

Finance & Accounting Oversight

Manage payroll, benefits deductions, and staff reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the leadership team.

Oversee accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and annual audit coordination.

Collaborate with external accountants and advisors for tax preparation and compliance.

Strategic Planning & Risk Management

Partner with firm leadership on long-term planning, staffing, and resource allocation.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, technology upgrades, and workflow efficiency.

Oversee firm insurance programs (malpractice, liability, etc.) and risk management policies.

Support marketing, client engagement, and business development initiatives as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years in operations or finance leadership (legal/professional services experience strongly preferred).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus).

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll, accounting, and HR processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software.

Leadership: Proven ability to manage people, processes, and projects with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.

Personal Traits: Highly organized, collaborative, financially savvy, and passionate about supporting both people and business growth.

What You’ll Gain

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, retirement plan, PTO).

Direct partnership with firm leadership — your voice matters here.

A professional yet supportive environment that values balance and collaboration.

Clear path for career growth as the firm continues to expand.
