The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with department heads to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting activities
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely processing and accuracy
Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal and external auditor inquiries
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reports
Perform variance analysis on financial statements and provide commentary for management review
Help implement and maintain internal controls and accounting best practices
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
