Job Title: Financial Service Representative

Location: Columbus, OH

Our Retirement Solutions team in Columbus, OH, is looking for a representative to be the expert guide for our members, plan sponsors, and brokers. You'll help them manage their accounts, understand their policies, and build a secure financial future.

The Details:

Location: 3 Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, Ohio 43215

Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days work from home)

Compensation: $19/hr (with a pay increase opportunity within 6-12 months)

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Open availability is required.

Training: Enjoy 7 weeks of comprehensive paid training, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

About the Job:

As a Financial Service Representative, you will provide extraordinary care to members, partners, plan sponsors, and investment professionals. Your ability to understand product, plan, and regulatory requirements will be key to analyzing and resolving general account inquiries, plan fees, or plan questions. Additionally, you will effectively interpret and articulate the company's strategies when communicating with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking incoming calls from public sector participants regarding their retirement accounts.

Handling basic topics such as account balances, distribution questions, and password resets after comprehensive training.

Educates customers to ensure understanding of tax implications, penalties/surrender charges, death benefit protection, lifetime income, capital preservation and/or benefits pertaining to the plan/contract

Resolving routine errors requiring corrective processing.

Analyzes problems to determine proper course of action, striving for first time final resolution.

Develop and grow through monthly meetings with leadership to build a career path strategy and achieve goals.

As an Ideal Candidate, You Will Have:

A completed or nearly completed Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business, Communications, Economics, or a related field).

A genuine interest in building a career in Financial Services with a top employer.

One year of solid work experience in a service-related field (e.g., restaurant, retail, administrative, hospitality).

The ability to deliver friendly customer service while simultaneously communicating on the phone and navigating computer systems.
