Your responsibilities:
Our John Deere Financial IT team is looking for an individual to provide solutions architecture and technical guidance to internal development teams primarily supporting applications for our European markets. This will entail:
Being recognized as a seasoned technology professional and expert who focuses on developing strategic architectures and roadmaps, then assisting with designing solutions that adhere to those architectures.
Provide technical guidance to development teams to ensure that solutions built are effective.
Lead and advise product teams on complex architecture design issues on products and help them to remove impediments.
Partner with the Product Managers and Engineering Manager to understand issues and provide solutions.
Participate in technology selections with external vendors.
Engage in Innovation and FinTech enablement for regional solutions.
Maintain in-depth technology knowledge in a primary capability area and create architectures and designs for that capability area.
Our requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
Strong English written and verbal communication, working collaboratively with technical development teams across the business and IT organization, including other business and technology leaders.
8 or more years of experience with server-side design and development including but not limited to Java/J2EE, Python, React, Node.js or equivalent.
8 or more years of experience with vendor software implementation and integration.
8 or more years of experience with enterprise caliber software architecture and/or design.
Knowledge of complex technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development in an agile environment.
Nice to have:
Business model, business context, and business process understanding of financial services businesses.
Experience in: API design and development, data and analytics solution design and development.
Experience working with global teams and with European banking supervisors, handling financial regulatory implications for financial systems.
