What will you work on?
The Senior Manager, Indirect Sourcing, Europe is the European procurement process champion and commercial leader responsible for managing and directing over USD $100 million in annual non-production spend supporting locations in Europe. Primary spend categories include Information technologies and then other categories like HR, telecommunications, facilities, professional services and travel. Primary internal business partners within Spin Master include leaders and associates from IT, Supply Chain, Product and Brand Marketing, Facilities, Quality, Finance, HR and Legal.
How will you create impact?
Aligning Spin Master needs with non-production supply base to include but not limited to the following elements:
Product / service qualification
Category strategy development
RFx / quotation preparation and commercial negotiation activities
Contract negotiation and management
Cost savings identification and realization
Global alignment and execution of strategies and supplier implementations
Lead and execute category regional category strategy development and execution
Indirect Sourcing P2P process champion:
Deploying new or improved procurement policies, tools and processes
Developing, monitoring and reporting compliance metrics
Ensuring compliance with global category strategy and supplier contracts
Producing and deploying supplier scorecards as appropriate
Sourcing and commercial expert with regards to category and supplier strategies; supplier selection; and commercial / contract negotiations
How will you fit into the team?
The Indirect Sourcing Manager reports to Director, Global Sourcing in Toronto, Canada.
What are your skills and experience?
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, accounting or engineering
10+ years of procurement of indirect goods and services
Experience from the IT industry is an asset
Strong working knowledge of SAP
Expert knowledge of the procure-to-pay process
Procurement / sourcing / supply chain professional certification is an asset
Knowledge of contract law
Experience with contract management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good financial and business acumen
Able to establish strong business relationships including with executives
Excellent influencing skills
Collaborative and service oriented
Maintains a sense of urgency in resolving issues
Self-starter and able to work without daily supervision
Well-organized with strong project, planning and multitasking ability
Personal and data integrity must be beyond reproach
Fluent in English. Skills in and other European languages is an asset
Able to travel within the region, and occasionally to Toronto, up to 15% of the time
