Faculty Positions in Neuroscience
The Ohio State University (OSU), Wexner Medical Center Department of Neuroscience invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The College of Medicine is investing in cutting-edge and internationally recognized basic and translational neuroscience programs with the aim of the department becoming a Top 10 nationally-ranked department within 5 years.
Responsibilities
Develop and advance a productive research program in neuroscience aligned with the department's priorities.
Collaborate with colleagues across a rapidly growing research community focused on neural plasticity, neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration/cognitive impairment, epilepsy and behavior.
Contribute to education, mentorship, and service as part of a major academic medical center.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree and at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience.
Candidates for Associate or Full Professor should be nationally or internationally recognized scholars with a consistent externally funded research program.
Candidates with research focus or technical expertise in aging, interoception, brain-gut interactions, gene therapy/gene editing, functional in-vivo brain circuit mapping and connectomics, neuroengineering (brain-computer interface, neuromodulation), whole-brain imaging, computational neuroscience, big data modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence will be prioritized.
