Overview
Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue independent and specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine; collaborates with Principal Investigators (PIs) on research investigating topics related to general internal medicine, dissemination and implementation science, and/or economic evaluation.
The position involves preparing oral presentations for national and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars; writing and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; seeking opportunities for external funding and supporting development of research proposals for submission; participating as appropriate in new research grant submissions; developing projects, collecting data, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis in new research projects designed as pilot work for new grant submissions; and participating in bi-monthly research team meetings to coordinate ongoing and new research projects.
Participation in training and oversight of students and other duties may be assigned based on the needs of ongoing and new research projects.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Principal Investigators on research related to general internal medicine, dissemination and implementation science, and/or economic evaluation.
Prepare oral presentations for national and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Write and submit manuscripts for publication in peer?reviewed journals.
Seek opportunities for external funding and support development of research proposals for submission.
Develop projects, collect data, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses for pilot studies intended for new grant submissions.
Participate in bi?monthly research team meetings to coordinate ongoing and new research projects.
Train and supervise students; assist with oversight as appropriate.
Accept additional duties as needed for ongoing and new research projects.
