Job Title: Anesthesiologist Assistant
Department: Specialty Care Health System Anesthesiology Services
Responsibilities
The Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) functions as an integral member of the patient care team, providing anesthesia care and supportive services aimed at quality patient care outcomes, improved service levels, shorter hospitalizations, and reduced cost.
Manage anesthesia case management, staff education, and clinical research. Demonstrate excellence in all areas of anesthesia practice, including handling complex, unpredictable anesthesia situations. Collaborate with an MDA in the anesthetic care of each patient.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree; graduate from a CAAHEP-accredited anesthesia assistant program (18-month or 24-month program).
Current certification from the NCCAA.
Current licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board.
Current ACLS certification.
Must be eligible to obtain clinical privileges as designated by the OSUMC Corporate Credentialing Office.
