This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of employees who work in two separate warehouses within close proximity to each other totaling approximately 155,000 square feet. The successful candidate prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. This person ensures operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures with a safety first mentality. Ensures the integrity (physical condition) of product and accuracy of inventory in the warehouse and as it is loaded. Responsible for the safety of anyone in the warehouse and dock, as well as the safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse-based equipment and personnel wherever they may be in the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Embody Safety, Respect, Performance

Manage team 23 people, 2 direct reports

Manage outbound/inbound shipments

Monthly inventory counts

Monthly warehouse inventory numbers

Weekly warehouse inventory report to sales team

Weekly cycle counts

Oversee safety training for department

Assist in recruiting and onboarding of new hires

Manage overtime for department

Approve/review all payroll items

Handle all HR items (write-ups, discipline, promotions, etc.)

Daily production floor inventory counts

Handle cycle counts for sales as needed

Overall safety and housekeeping of warehouses

Inventory of customer-specific raw materials weekly

Be actively involved in understanding Fire Safety

Ensure stacking and warehouse set up is in accordance with fire safety standards

Monitor and maintain clean and orderly rows and stacks; training as needed

Create and manage metric for damaged skids due to warehouse damage

Contribute to budget, business case development as needed for warehouse projects

Manage negative/positive adjustment report

Manage slow movers report on a monthly basis from Accounting Department

Work with sales and customer service to ensure nothing over 1 year old remains in inventory

Participate in safety audits

Complete daily Gemba Walks

Bachelors Degree (preferred)

Ability to multi-task on various projects at one time

Detailed oriented

Previous Warehouse/Logistics management experience

Work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to adjust priorities mid-stream as circumstances require

Good communication skills (written and verbal)
