High School Teacher - (Core Subjects & Electives)

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Principal, our English Language Development(ELD) / International High School (IHS) Teachers create lesson plans to teach non-native speakers to read, write, speak and understand English.

They help students learn English grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills.

ELD/IHS Teachers are expected to improve the reading, writing and speaking skills of the increasing population of global newcomers to Highlands.

ELD/IHS Teachers will plan, implement, monitor, and assess a classroom instructional program.

In addition to ELD instruction, we are seeking High School Teachers to teach a variety of Core Studies and Elective subjects for AM and PM shifts.

Teachers in these areas will play a key role in supporting students’ academic growth, career readiness, and personal development.
