Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Machine Shop Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining various machine tools and hand tools to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate conventional machine tools (e.g., grinders, drill presses) to produce parts according to
specifications.
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and materials based on job requirements.
Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain part quality and production efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, material inconsistencies, and machine malfunctions.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Inspect and assembly Manufactured parts for final assemblies and delivery.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
General shop tasks including loading and unloading equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2+ years of experience as a Machine Shop Technician or similar role.
Experience with general shop tools and precision measuring instruments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
