Job Description

1. Works with Director of Quality and other trauma program staff to plan, design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality improvement

program including education of physicians and staff on trauma related items.

2. Assists Director of Quality in identifying and problem solving quality improvement issues related to the trauma quality program.

3. Ensures compliance with trauma quality improvement initiatives. Reviews records and documentations as needed for abstraction. Assists the

trauma program staff in accreditation readiness.

4. Gathers data and prepares reports that are needed for submission of quality data to various regulatory and accrediting agencies.

5. Evaluates trauma reports to assist Director of Quality in identifying opportunities for improvement and evaluate risk issues.

6. Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of data and regulatory requirements applicable to assigned program areas

7. Participate in staff meetings related to trauma quality improvement activities, and provide in-service training to staff and providers as needed.

8. Provide support as needed by working closely with the IT team in the optimization of electronic medical record systems and related clinical tools

to ensure system capabilities are in line with clinical reporting expectations. Utilize multiple software applications to prepare spreadsheets, graphs,

charts and power point presentations.

9. Exhibits excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse population. Effectively interacts and communicates with team

members as well as external customers/clients/potential employees. Strong team working and collaborative skills.

Special Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of Associate Degree required with minimum of two (2) years of

administrative experience or equivalent in a medical or hospital setting required. Prior experience in quality, regulatory, and/or compliance

highly preferred.
