Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder capable of laying out, fitting, fabricating, and welding from blueprints. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding and adept at using basic hand tools, including tape measures and digital calipers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision, are essential.

Responsibilities

Follow blueprints to perform fitting and fabrication of parts.

Perform welding up to 1/2 inch welds.

Grind and prep parts for welding.

Read tape measures to cut parts to size.

Utilize an overhead crane for various tasks.

Assist in cleaning the shop during downtime.

Essential Skills

Proficient in MIG Welding.

2+ years of experience in MIG Welding on structural steel.

2+ years of experience in steel fabrication.

2+ years of experience working from blueprints.

Experience with press brake.

Experience in welding stainless steel and aluminum.

Experience with flux core welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to use all basic hand tools.

Experience with fitting techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work in a clean shop environment, though it is not climate controlled. Our team-oriented atmosphere encourages helping where needed, and no job is too small, including tasks like sweeping and cleaning.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Gahanna, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
