What we want

The Temporary Research Associate will support the preparation and testing of paint panels for weathering performance, including UV, alkaline, and water resistance tests, in accordance with relevant ISO standards. The role involves hands-on lab work, data collection, and adherence to standardized procedures. The researcher will also contribute to the development of ISO/IEC 17025 documentation to support laboratory accreditation. This position ensures both technical accuracy and compliance in coating performance evaluation.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Two years of related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferably to have qualification relevant to the job description.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and coating test panels according to standard laboratory procedures, ensuring consistency in film thickness, curing, and surface preparation.

Conducting weathering tests such as UV resistance, alkaline resistance, and water resistance, strictly following the applicable ISO standards.

Record and organize (paint blistering, change in color, and other paint defects) test data, observations, and results in a clear and traceable manner for further analysis.

Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant technical references related to paint testing and ISO standard methods.

Assist in drafting, formatting, and updating laboratory manuals, work instructions, and technical reports required for accreditation and client reporting.

Maintain accurate documentation to support both experimental work and compliance with accreditation audits.

Support the implementation of ISO 17025 requirements by preparing documentation related to test methods, calibration records, equipment logs, and quality control checks.

Ensure that all activities, measurements, and records are carried out in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory quality policies.
