Part-time Physics and Advanced Math Tutor

Job Description

Pierce Institute needs a part-time Physics and Higher Math tutor. Candidate must have strong verbal communication skills and be good at explaining things in detail to struggling students, which requires a lot of patience. Prior tutoring experience strongly preferred.

Advanced Physics and Calculus (AB and BC) must be well within the tutor's comfort zone. Any coding or STEM skills are a plus, but not required.

Tutors meet in-person, 1:1 with our students at our cozy center in Cityview (SW Fort Worth). Occasional virtual sessions, but mainly in-person.

Must be available at least 6 hours a week with some M-Tr. weekday availability from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and a little weekend availability as well (we are open all day Saturdays and on Sunday afternoons during the schoolyear. In the summer, we tutor between 2:30 and 6:00 pm).

$26/hr. Tutor must pass a written proficiency test prior to an interview.
