JOB TITLE: Procurement control officer for Major Works division
HOURS: 8:00-5:00pm 38 hours, Monday-Friday with 3:00pm finish on Friday
REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager
Where you fit: As part of the Procurement Team, you will take responsibility for the control and oversight of procurement activities within façade projects. Working closely with Design, Production, Operations and delivery teams, you will ensure that façade materials, subcontracted works, and services are procured in line with project requirements, delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Objective: To run and control façade procurement projects throughout the full procurement cycle, including supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and compliance monitoring, ensuring that procurement contributes to commercial efficiency, programme certainty, and risk mitigation.
Job Challenge: Managing multiple high-value façade procurement projects simultaneously within demanding timescales, while achieving optimal cost savings, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring governance and compliance at every stage.
Main tasks:
Manage and control procurement of facade systems, materials, and subcontracted works.
Off site visits for compliance checks with Supply chain, ensuring highest level of Quality control and ensuring materials are delivered to site as specified by project leads
Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, governance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
Raise, track, and control purchase orders on the ERP system.
Prepare and check delivery documentation for coated materials and goods to be dispatched to site.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors in line with the 5 Rights: Right Time, Right Place, Right Price, Right Quality, Right Quantity.
Conduct supplier pre-qualification assessments to ensure compliance, capacity, and quality standards are met.
Chase and expedite deliveries to prevent disruption to the site programme.
Coordinate deliveries in collaboration with delivery team and the wider supply chain.
Monitor supplier performance through tailored KPI metrics, and report non-conformance or risks to the Supply Chain Manager.
Support the Supply Chain plan, ensuring the facade procurement strategy aligns with the companys strategic direction.

Achievement of cost savings against facade project budgets, currently running at circa 5%. This will incrementally increase with the departments 5 year VT/O target
Timely delivery of all facade materials and subcontract services to programme.
100% compliance with procurement controls, audit requirements, and contractual obligations.
Supplier performance maintained and recorded at or above agreed standards.
