On-Call Substitute Healthcare Specialist

Intermediate District 287 is looking for On-call Substitute Healthcare Specialist (LPN or RN) Intermediate District 287 is a west metro district for learners with unique needs.

As an intermediate district, we provide specialized services, primarily setting IV special education, to students from 12 member districts in the west metro.

We take into account past trauma and the resulting coping mechanisms when attempting to understand behaviors and best serve our students.

* There is a variety of support services in each school including School Social Workers, Psychologists, Counselors, Behavior Intervention Specialists and Student Safety Coaches.

All of whom are student-centered and focused on building relationships with each child.

* Small class sizes - typically 6-8 students per class.

Position Details: * Locations: Brooklyn Park, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, New Hope, Richfield * Cover absences on an on-call basis * Local 2209 Salary Schedule C: $28.36 - $32.69 per hour * More information about the Local 2209 contract can be found at: Local 2209 Contract and Benefits Education and Experience Requirements: * One (1) year of experience as a professional registered nurse (RN) with six (6) months in school health services, public health, hospital or psychiatric nursing.

* Special Requirement: Must possess and retain a license as a Registered Professional Nurse in Minnesota.

* View Job Classification Licensure Requirements: * Public Health Nursing Certificate and CPR certification is required.

* First Aid certification is preferred.
