Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Operations/Laboratory Technician to support plant operations and laboratory functions. This role involves monitoring equipment, conducting chemical analyses, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily operations meetings to share updates on safety, environmental compliance, quality, and KPIs.
Collect, prepare, and analyze chemical samples in accordance with Laboratory Procedures, Quality Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor and control plant equipment, making operational adjustments as needed.
Perform light maintenance and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Identify and initiate corrective actions for process, safety, or environmental issues.
Understand and utilize emergency equipment and protocols within the facility.
Maintain accurate records of laboratory and plant activities.
Cross-train and support various operational areas within the facility.
Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by Plant Management. Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents and equipment data.
Willingness to work 40 hours/week, including nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a laboratory technician, or 1 year in a plant laboratory environment.
Alternatively, 2 years of experience as a plant operator.
Certification in Chemical Lab Technology, Plant Operator Technology, or equivalent military experience.
Familiarity with plant operations, chemical sampling, and equipment monitoring.
