Job Details
Responsibilities
Conduct machine and process capability studies; implement improvements to maximize efficiency
Develop, refine, and troubleshoot CNC processes, tooling, and G-code programming
Support APQP, FMEA, and Control Plan creation and review activities
Commission and validate new manufacturing equipment and processes
Evaluate suppliers, review technical offers, and coordinate indirect material purchases
Define and monitor process parameters, ensuring adherence to specifications
Write and maintain work instructions, training materials, and process documentation
Lead feasibility studies, implement new or modified process solutions, and support automation initiatives
Perform root cause analysis on process failures, alarms, and customer complaints
Participate in 8D problem-solving activities and cross-functional continuous improvement projects
Support robotic programming, machine controls, and automation enhancements
Supervise interns and train employees on new systems and processes
Maintain process history, automation logs, and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (IATF environment preferred)
CNC turning and CAD (or other 3D modeling) experience required
Strong knowledge of FANUC CNC controllers (Siemens CNC preferred)
Experience with Swiss-style and conventional turning machines
Skilled in CNC program development, tooling, and interpreting gear data (CMM preferred)
Ability to read schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)
Strong project management, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong statistical and documentation skills
Nice to Haves
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or other CI methodologies
Hands-on experience with robot programming and automation integration
Familiarity with ISO14001 and advanced quality system standards
Prior experience leading capital equipment commissioning or feasibility studies
