The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facility Maintenance Lead to join our Transportation Department!

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician professional that will be perform a series of skilled and semi-skilled work in the coordination, operation, maintenance, cleaning and repairs of Transit facilities and will manage the Facilities Maintenance team.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician Lead will oversee management of small projects, participate in the preparation of the yearly budget, manage ordering and inventory tracking of the Transportation Facility equipment, and will be responsible for the direction, scheduling, and supervision of Transportation Facility Maintenance Staff.
Some of the duties are listed below:
Perform the day-to-day, maintenance, repair and cleaning of the Transportation Department's property
Manages the coordination of use/maintenance of shared equipment and public facilities including buildings, freight elevator, high volume air exchange system, pressure/steam washer, area unit heaters, overhead garage doors, silt traps, restroom fixtures, bus shelters, vehicles, and area lighting
Manages the maintenance of facilities such as electrical repairs, plumbing work, service or repair of maintenance equipment, snow removal, and cleaning duties
Recommends and oversees maintenance contracts for the repair of Town property including: the ability to solicit and select vendors, supervise the selected contractor's work, and submit invoices for payment.
Maintains an inventory of supplies, purchases supplies in accordance with Town policies, and helps in the preparation of a yearly budget for this program.
Coordinates with adjacent property owners/management companies on areas of overlapping interest.
Provides a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times; establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with all co-workers, clients, professional contacts and community members; communicates respectfully and clearly.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:
3 years of experience in building maintenance and repair
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Windows
Knowledge of carpentry, electricity, and plumbing
Previous driving experience and small heavy equipment operation is desirable
One year of experience driving a truck or a bus is desirable
Ability to supervise the work of employees and/or a contractor; oversee preventative maintenance contracts, use a computer; have a basic working knowledge of carpentry, electricity and plumbing to perform basic repair work; and have the ability to operate equipment both large and small
Experience with tracking and managing inventories
Ability to make purchases in accordance with Town policy and protocol and prepare a budget
Ability to supervise and evaluate employees
Possess experience in the repair and maintenance of combustion/electrical motors and mechanical devices.
Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL,) class B rating, P2 endorsement, with air brakes or better.
