1ST SHIFT - 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM - Monday - Friday - Overtime on Saturday

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:
The Welder position is a key part of the Production team responsible for an assortment of welding tasks to support assembly and production. This position is filled by entry to midlevel welders with experience in working on thin sheet metal steel applications. This position requires you to have the skill or the ability to learn to perform custom fabrication work on product, operate hand and power tools including grinders, shop saws, and punch equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Perform various welding operations as assigned by the Leadership Team.
•Works on welding area where tasks and job duties may vary.
•Follow and build job orders according to customer specifications on the daily travelers.
•May require retrieval of parts necessary for completion of finished product.
•Understand and identify all components that comprise the finished product.
•Report production and quality data as dictated in daily travelers to supervisor.
•Always maintain an organized work environment, may require inspection by the Leadership Team.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team to support company goals.
•Participation in Safety Program.
•Based on proficiency may be required to train on Welding workstations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Utilize MiG welder to perform an assortment of welding tasks on thin steel sheet metal material from 12-18 gauge.
•Handle materials such as metal, poly, glue, etc.
•Working knowledge of all related tools and machinery including but not limited to: drills, sanders, jigsaws, etc.
•Must be able to lift to 75 pounds repetitively.
•Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 75 pounds.
•Must use and be able to work with required PPE.
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
•Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
•The noise level of the warehouse is moderate to loud.
•Based on proficiency could work under heavy to limited supervision.
•Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
•Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
•Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
•Must be able to weld and fabricate hollow metal frames (Pass weld test).
•Depending on experience could be required to shadow one or more workstations above.
•Routine assessments of workstation proficiency are conducted – individual must pass one or more workstations as listed above.
•Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions and standard work tickets.
•Must possess basic computer skills, basic math skills required, proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
•Must be able to work independently as well as in a group environment.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•Must demonstrate basic problem-solving skills.
•Good organizational skills related to managing paperwork and time.
