MKR Laundry Driver
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, transport and is responsible for gasoline and/or diesel driven large tractors and/or other large equipment as required. Pick-up and deliver laundry items to the hotels and resorts. Keep equipment clean and serviced. Report any mechanical problems. May assist in servicing equipment. Perform other related tasks as assigned. Special CDL license may be required to operate certain vehicles.
Essential Duties:
Operate large equipment/vehicle to transport laundry items.
Clean and wash equipment/vehicle.
Perform tasks as instructed by supervisor.
Report any mechanical problems.
Schedule equipment for regular service and keep a maintenance log.
Refuel equipment.
Regularly check equipment according to resort procedures.
Pick-up and deliver laundry items; load and unload truck.
Adhere to highway laws and regulations when operating the vehicle on public or private roads.
Must have current CDL license to operate certain vehicles/equipment.
Unload and load laundry into washers and dryers.
Perform duties following safety procedures and policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties:
May direct lower rated positions in the department.
Perform the duties of lower rated position in the department when needed
Working Conditions:
Must be able to climb in and out of large vehicles.
Must be able to work outdoors/loading dock area.
Work around noise from laundry equipment.
Work Hours:
Able to work shift and days determined by Manager
Able to work more that 40 hours a week, when needed.
Equipment Use:
Telephone
Large truck or other vehicle required for the job.
Operate washer and dryers, folding machine, presser, laundry carousel and other laundry equipment.
Laundry bins or carts.
Hand truck
Mental and Physical Demands:
Able to prioritize and organize workload and delivery.
Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Push/pull laundry carts, linen or supplies weighing over 50 lbs.
Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop and reach during most of shift.
Able climb in/out of vehicles and sit and operate a vehicle.
Communication Demands:
Must have the ability to communicate verbally to employee, manager and guests/clients.
Able to communicate over the phone.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
CDL License is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license
Complete DOT requirements
Clean traffic abstract (no moving violations in the past 3 years).
