Live Haul Manger-De Queen

**Description** **Job Title:** Live Haul Manager **Location:** De Queen Arkansas GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for the catching and hauling of birds to various plants on a schedule that allows for a timely and constant flow of birds while ensuring both low shrinkage and low DOA counts.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Interviews and hires live haul drivers.

+ Schedules drivers and coordinates delivery of live chickens to and from plants and farms.

+ Ensures that all equipment is repaired and maintained by shop personnel.

+ Works with internal partners, contract catchers, farm managers, and contract growers to ensure supply demands are met.

+ Coordinates with the Plant Manager to address problems through resolution.

+ Ensures that animal welfare practices are being executed.

+ Stays abreast and ensures compliance of DOT regulations.

+ Understands and implements PPC safety policies.

+ May supervise Superintendents and Supervisors.

**BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:** + 5-7 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience required + Effective communication both orally and in writing.

+ Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English is required.

+ Bilingual (Spanish) preferred + Capable of independent decision making.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities.

+ Must be able to work assigned hours/days - including occasional weekends - as required.

+ Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required; SAP experience preferred EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
