Strategic Energy Management The Energy Efficiency Member plays a vital role in advancing Sabin CDC's sustainability goals through energy conservation, education, and strategic planning.
As part of the Building Fair Futures team, this position supports residents and staff in reducing energy use while lowering utility costs and environmental impact.
The member coordinates energy efficiency workshops, collaborates with partners like Energy Trust of Oregon, and supports contractors on energy upgrades.
They assist with property winterization, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and conduct energy and safety inspections across Sabin units.
This role also helps develop internal energy policies, tracks progress, and collects data to inform future initiatives.
In addition to hands-on support and planning, the member promotes resource-sharing and community sustainability through participation in events like Pass-It-On Days and Furnish-A-Change.

Member Duties : Workshop & Event Coordination: Plan and attend energy efficiency workshops and community tabling events and educate residents and staff on energy-saving practices Partner & Contractor Collaboration: Collaborate with Energy Trust of Oregon and other energy-focused partners and work alongside contractors on energy upgrades and projects Operational & Maintenance Support: Assist with winterizing properties and identifying energy efficiency improvements, help plan and implement operations and maintenance enhancements, and conduct energy and safety inspections in all Sabin units.
Policy & Program Support: Support the development of internal energy efficiency policies and track progress and gather data to inform ongoing sustainability efforts Community Program Engagement: Support community initiatives like Pass-It-On Days and Furnish-A-Change to promote reuse and resource-sharing Program Benefits : Living Allowance, Training, Housing, Childcare assistance if eligible, Health Coverage, Education award upon successful completion of service .
