Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provide college wide technical support for all administrative and academic computing. Provide computerrepair service and preventive maintenance and installation services. Identify problems with computer equipment and their solutions by using troubleshooting techniques.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain inventory of replacement parts and supplies required to complete assignments. Provide service and support for all printers college wide to minimize down time.

Provide direction and support for all PC replacement projects and printer replacements collegewide.

Create and distribute software images using Ghost Console. Maintain software patches.

Manage/process surplus equipment.

Assist network services with updates.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

High SchoolDiploma or GED.

Minimum of four years related experience and/or training

Basic grammar skills and Basic levelskills in word processing (MSWord)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of thecommunity.

Preferred

Associates Degree

Background in electronics

A+ Certification

Two years of experience rebuilding HP Laser Jet Printers and experience on PC troubleshooting

Basic knowledge of networking

Special Note: This is a Full-time (1199/SEIU) Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 08. Full-time (1199/SEIU) bargaining unit employees at Cuyahoga Community College will be considered first for vacant positions.

Target Hiring Rate: Minimum salary $50,891/annually

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
