Purpose of the Position This position will work as a member of the digital content team to maintain official university web properties, create content for social media and the digital marketing needs of the University.
* Maintain university webpages and event calendars using content management systems * Manipulate photos for use on the web and other digital platforms * Collaborate with team members, faculty and staff to design and build digital content * Keep up to date on the latest web and digital technology * Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position * Experience creating digital content for social media * Excellent writing and editing skills * Ability to work openly, collaboratively and as part of a multidisciplinary team * Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills * Knowledge of digital marketing and communication concepts * Ability to meet deadlines, be thorough and precise in work, and be able to multitask * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability and desire to learn new applications and processes as needed * Proficiency in website maintenance (working knowledge of content management systems, photo editing software) * Working knowledge of web technology, accessibility, usability and information architecture * Basic knowledge of web analytics * Basic knowledge of HTML and markdown Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required Education: * High school diploma or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma Experience: * Experience working in any of the following areas: website maintenance, social media, digital communications and marketing.
