Core Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and perform ESG engagement and advisory with/to with APAC clients
· Lead the business development and origination of sustainable financing solutions across GLBA APAC
· Actively contribute to raising awareness and spread the knowledge on sustainability among GLBA staff in APAC region
· Participate actively in the reinforcement of our external communication on the Group's sustainability ambition and capabilities through notably external engagement and active involvement in external working groups and collaborative initiatives.
· SHIFT project: lead and coordinate the APAC SHIFT program across APAC region including new businesses.
· Support APAC management as expert team on sustainability topics for external engagement and internal policy development.
· Where necessary, work with teams outside of GLBA to coordinate the sustainability strategy and engagement with regulators in the region (e.g. central RSE team, CPLE, RISQ, MARK).
Resource Management:
· Handling of sensitive issues
· Development of staff (i.e. having a growth plan, filling in products gaps, upgrading as necessary)
· Ensuring job descriptions exist, individual appraisals are carried out and objectives are in place
· Ensuring appropriate resources are adequately utilized

Department Description
The GLBA Sustainability and Impact Advisory team in APAC is responsible to drive GLBA APAC’s sustainability strategy, positioning ESG leadership as a differentiating factor to enhance client relationships and boost origination in the region through:
(i) Facilitating client engagement when E&S expertise is needed, supporting the origination process and developing innovative offerings to accompany our clients in their sustainability and transition journeys.
(ii) Assessing the ESG risks associated with clients and transactions, developing COV, CPM, F&A sectors, DCS and IBD’s understanding of our clients' sustainability strategies, challenges, and needs through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing
(iii) Originating and structuring sustainable financing products (green, social, sustainability-linked loans and bonds), monitoring and analysing sustainable finance market trends, market standards and best practices and building COV, F&A sectors, DCS and IBD’s understanding of such products
SIA APAC Sustainable Finance is also expected to support broader SIA initiatives from other regions, including Impact Based Finance, Nature Capital Solutions, Social Impact Solutions and ESG Corporate Advisory, where feasible.
As the Head of GLBA/SIA APAC, responsibilities are to lead all the above initiatives as well as defining the overall team strategy and priorities, develop the team and manage resourcing. In addition, the role requires active contribution to our external communication on the Group's CSR ambitions.
