Automation QA Engineer Leading Global Consultancy (Hong Kong)

Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join their digital application team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation testing and have experience testing web/mobile applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain feature files, step definitions, and element mappings for test automation.

- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate test automation into the development process smoothly.

- Review test reports, ensure all tests are successful, and identify areas for improvement.

- Offer technical guidance to team members and encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Coordinate with business users, QA teams, and developers to align on solutions and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Use JIRA for managing stories, test cases, and tracking test coverage.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Ideally 3+ years of experience in automation testing, including mobile application testing.

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, encompassing test planning, test case design, and test execution.

- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber and Appium.

- Possess strong knowledge of Selenium with either Python or Java programming language for web automation, or Appium with either Python or Java programming language for mobile automation.

- Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks.

- Experience in performance testing using TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Fluency in verbal and written Cantonese is a must.
