The Surgery Scheduler performs surgery scheduling and various routine clerical tasks. The Surgery Scheduler oversees insurance inquiries; performs pre-admission reviews and explains deductible and payments if necessary; schedules surgery time with hospital and schedules physical before surgery date. Works closely with Office Manager and other members of the office to trouble-shoot and resolve problems, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members and other visitors, and fellow employees.

Required Skills
Knowledge of medical/surgical terminology and procedures
Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and CPT coding systems.
Strong knowledge of computers and computerized practice management systems and other computerized systems (Microsoft office programs and electronic health records systems).
