Lead Architect, IT Operations & Service Intelligence (Hong Kong)

Our client is a well-respected, market-leading Hong Kong institution with a reputation for excellence and operational stability. They are investing heavily in technology and are now seeking a high-calibre Architect to spearhead the strategic transformation of their entire IT operations ecosystem. This is a critical role to future-proof their technology services.

The Role & Responsibilities

- You will be the central authority responsible for designing the future of IT operations. This is a hands-on strategy role requiring deep technical knowledge.

- Architectural Governance: Define and govern the end-to-end architecture for ITSM, Observability, and AIOps platforms. You will own the technical roadmap for the next 3-5 years.

- Technical Leadership: Act as the ultimate subject matter expert, leading the integration of modern tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and driving intelligent automation across all operational workflows.

- Process Re-engineering: Champion and implement modern SRE principles to fundamentally re-engineer core processes like incident and problem management, with a clear focus on reducing detection and resolution times (MTTD/MTTR).

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with and influence department heads across Technology (Infrastructure, DevOps, Security) to ensure alignment and successful adoption of the new operating model.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a seasoned and pragmatic leader, not just a theorist.

Requirements:

- Experience: 15+ years in IT, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior architect role focused on IT operations in a large-scale enterprise environment.

- Hybrid Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in BOTH traditional ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, BMC) AND modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). This is essential.

- Communication: Excellent command of written and spoken English.

- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience designing and delivering complex, cross-functional technology transformation projects.

Preferred:

- Modern Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of public cloud (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes (CKA certification is a significant plus).

- Methodologies: Practical experience with SRE, AIOps, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

- Certifications: Professional certifications such as TOGAF or ITIL v4.
