Potential Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee security operations for programs, facilities, and field teams
Ensure compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, DoD, and other security directives
Manage personnel and physical security processes, including access control, clearance processing, and insider threat programs
Develop and implement security policies, SOPs, and training programs
Coordinate with government security agencies, contracting officers, and program stakeholders
Lead incident response and investigations, ensuring proper reporting and resolution
Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation for security operations
Mentor and develop security staff for career growth and operational excellence
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship (required for most government contracts)
High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Proven leadership experience in security operations, program management, or facility security roles
Strong understanding of applicable security regulations, directives, and compliance requirements
Exceptional communication, decision-making, and leadership skills
Ability to travel and manage teams in multiple locations
For certain roles: active or ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI or higher)
Experience as FSO, PSM, or Security Manager supporting classified programs
Knowledge of DoD, IC, and federal security requirements (NISPOM, ICDs, 32 CFR Part 117)
Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, ISP, or SFPC
Experience managing security teams in OCONUS or high-threat environments
Proven track record of successfully leading security teams during contract transitions or program expansions
