We’re looking for a Team Lead, Distribution to lead a dynamic team of Engineers, Technologists, Draftspersons, and administrative professionals. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, timely engineering designs and services that support critical infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to shape technical direction, drive performance, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
Major Responsibilities:
Assign, monitor, and control the workload of team members, engineering services vendors, and owners engineering vendors to meet the needs of project requirements.
Ensure resourcing of Engineering team is adequate, agile, and highly engaged.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure both business and developmental requirements are met.
Oversee the quality and consistency of work performed by the team and ensure adherence to process and quality requirements.
Determine and establish technical and process direction within the discipline engineering area; aligning as much as possible with the other disciplines.
Identify and resolve barriers to efficient and high-quality Engineering execution.
Lead discipline specific performance assessment of engineering service providers.
Identify trends in Engineering quality and implement corrective measures when required.
Review and authenticate work performed by Engineers and Technologists, ensuring all applicable engineering, industry and Enmax standards, codes, regulations and best practices are applied to designs.
Ensure all team members hold the safety of our staff, contractors, and the public as paramount in everything we do.
Education Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (depending on discipline)
P.L. (Eng.) or P.Eng. status with The Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscience in Alberta (APEGA)
Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in the areas of Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership
PMP designation is considered an asset
Competencies:
Ability to lead and coach a team of diverse individuals
Strong communication and organizational skills
Handle multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet commitments
Guide or facilitate the guiding by other technical experts (Senior Engineers) within the team

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid work model that includes Core Days in office (Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays), and more time to focus on Mondays and Fridays, either in the office or at home. The office workspace is located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).
