Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $135,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Prepare journal entries and upload data from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Inventory modules.
Oversee bank reconciliations and review other financial accounts for consistency and accuracy.
Monitor daily cash activity, direct deposits, and credit card transactions for proper tracking.
Process month-end and year-end financial closings, ensuring compliance with reporting standards. Requirements:
Have 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.
Possess a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit procedures.
Demonstrate proficiency with payroll systems, tax filings, and financial software.
Exhibit familiarity with managing benefits, including medical, dental, and LTD insurance plans.
Show the ability to oversee collections, bad debt management, and annual tax filings. Qualifications:
Display excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage financial operations effectively.
Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Uphold strong analytical skills for financial forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
Adapt to changing financial regulations and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
