Opsource has partnered with a growing company in Pelzer, SC who is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe operator who is capable of making changes at machine, read blue prints, use calipers and mics.

Our partner has 16,000 square feet for manufacturing, fabricating, and assembly. 2,500 square feet is for administration and engineering. They strive to be competitive in all capabilities and services, which include turning, milling, fabrication, welding, assembly, and secondary services such as plating or heat treating.

Hours : Monday through Thursday: 3:00PM- 1:00AM

Pay: $18 per hour

Must have at least 1 years' experience operating CNC Mills and Lathes. Mechatronics or Machine Tool Tech graduates encouraged to apply.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE CNC MILLING/LATHE MACHINES.

Have a familiarity of G Code and Fanuc Controls.

Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance

Must be able to load and unload tooling, fixtures as needed upon print specification.

Must be able to read blueprints and understand Geometrical Dimensions & Tolerances CAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Loads raw material onto machining center per procedures

Use precision measuring instruments to setup machine and check machined items

Use standard machine tools including, but not limited to, drill press and a variety of hand, electric, etc. tools

Select, verify, and install tooling according to specifications and operation

Troubleshoots issues at the machine and escalates as necessary to Production Supervisor or Engineering

Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per written processes and procedures

Ensures work area, machine, tooling and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil deposits

Works well independently with little direct supervision

Ability to document passes down information pertinent to other shifts in a routine and orderly manner

Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc
