Yard Coordinator
Report to: Equipment Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm - overtime may be required.
Location: 2040 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus OH 43207 (This position does not offer remote work opportunities.)
General Overview: Under general supervision, the Yard Attendant assists the Equipment Manager or designee with maintaining and tracking inventory of tools & equipment brought into or taken out of the Yard daily. This person should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Operates a forklift for safe transporting, loading, and unloading material
Maintains yard inventory in an efficient and orderly manner
Conducts visual checks of yard return area for items that may have been brought in after hours
Assists dispatch drivers with pulling and staging large tools for delivery as well as assisting in unloading loads in yard for best efficiency
May make deliveries or pick up material as needed
Snow removal of Company yard and sidewalks as needed
Performs a variety of assigned tasks for Facilities, including duties in both the office and shop
Labels new inventory items with an Igel number and ensures that all items have a clear, legible Igel number when returned
Oversees and maintains the yard
Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Yard Coordinator must be physically capable of performing tasks that require standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods. They must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. The role involves working in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and potentially hazardous fumes or chemicals. Physical stamina is essential for performing repetitive and strenuous tasks throughout the workday. Knowledge of construction equipment required.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification preferred, but not required
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. (George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is a BWC Drug-Free Workplace and tests for marijuana)
