Safety Manager
Position Overview
The Safety Manager will oversee and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role is essential in promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the organization, particularly in healthcare and government projects that involve drywall, flooring, and interior renovations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on job sites, particularly in healthcare and government projects.
Provide training and support to employees regarding safety practices and emergency procedures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, compiling reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are adhered to during fit-outs and interior renovations.
Maintain safety records and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible for review.Qualifications
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role, with a focus on drywall, flooring, and interior finishes.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction and renovation industry, particularly in healthcare and government sectors.
Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and engage employees.
Ability to analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement in safety practices.
