Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing Maintenance support and tactical execution of asset and reliability activities and ensuring the operation of the plant in an environmentally responsible manner in compliance with all Safety, Heath, and Environmental Policies. Responsibilities
Conducts moderately complex, value-added preventive maintenance investigations to support plant goals
Reviews and updates preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and failure history.
Provides training and mentorship to operations and maintenance personnel on reliability principles and tools.
Partners with Engineering, Operations, and EH&S to drive reliability improvements across the plant
Analyzes reliability data (e.g., CMMS, failure history, downtime reports) to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
Applies root cause analysis (RCA/RCFA) techniques consistently to investigate moderately complex reliability issues.
Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, Lifecycle Costs, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Tracks and reports the effectiveness of implemented improvement efforts
Applies value analysis to support repair/replace, redesign, and make/buy decisions.
Utilizes Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes for both existing and new equipment.
Consistently demonstrates and applies Outward Mindset principles and tools.
Physical Requirements
Must be clean-shaven in areas where facial hair would interfere with the proper fit and seal of a respirator. This includes no beards, goatees, mustaches that extend below the top lip or excessive sideburns.
Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc. and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
Constant prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Constantly communicating with others to exchange information and assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Constantly lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
Position requires a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or industrial reliability maintenance field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and computer proficiency.
Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams in reliability projects required.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting rotating and stationary equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, blowers, dust collectors).
Preferred qualifications include experience in reliability engineering functions such as RCM, RCFA, preventive maintenance optimization, and reliability data analysis.
For internal applicants, a MX or above on most recent performance evaluation and no active corrective action documentation is required.
