LOCATION Remote Office in the Attleboro, MA area WHAT YOU WILL DO * Design execution from project kickoff to start of production * Engineering design that includes developing product requirements, creating prototype samples, mitigating risks, testing, developing new product cost estimates * Project management of simultaneous projects * Collaboration with suppliers to support project deliverables and timing.
* Develop robust engineering solutions, which solve customer problems, by collaborating with engineering peers, testing prototypes, and mitigating risks through design reviews and FMEA's.
* Develop engineer-to-engineer relationships with customers to drive deeper discussions on given projects and opportunities.
* Work with manufacturing to successfully launch new products, to drive cost out projects and collaborate on process equipment/tooling requirements.
* Understand Gantt charts, commitments, and timeliness.
Mitigate risks as they are identified.
* As required, engage in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum), a plus to have 7 years' experience in the automotive/battery/electric vehicle sensor/product environment * Ability to fluently speak and write in the English language.
* Skilled at writing reports * Skilled at public speaking in front of customers and other employees * Skilled with laboratory equipment/tools to support engineering development, testing, and validation (oscilloscopes, EMC testing, environmental chambers, data acquisition, etc.) * Working knowledge of MEMS-based pressure sensors * Manufacturing knowledge of MEMS-based pressure sensors (die attach, wire bonding, calibration, plasma cleaning, etc.) * Skilled with circuit design, schematic layout and working with contract manufacturers on design for manufacturability for PCBA's.
* Skilled with the design and execution of design-of-experiments * Skilled with the execution of product validation testing * Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required * Working knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA
