Job Title: Adult Basic Education Instructor/Case Manager

Job Purpose:

Adult Basic Education Instructors are responsible to plan, implement, and assess curriculum for ABE

students. This includes, but is not limited to: GED, ESL, US Citizenship, Adult Diploma, digital literacy,

workplace skills, career and post-secondary planning, basic literacy and numeracy, and basic life skills.

Instructors will help monitor and improve student and program outcomes.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree

-Hold a current Minnesota teaching license

-Knowledge of adult student characteristics

-Knowledge of adult basic education content areas

-Teaching ability in ABE content areas and standards

-Ability to organize data to produce student reports

-Ability to make decisions concerning student instruction

-Ability to supervise and utilize paraprofessionals, work-study students, and volunteers

-Exceptions to these requirements will be considered based on exemplary skills, training, and

record of success

Location and Flexible Schedule Opportunities:

M/State Detroit Lakes - up to 13 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 9am-3pm)

Perham - up to 16 hours per week (Mon-Friday 8am to 3pm)

LPA - up to 2 hours per week (evening)

Frazee - up to 2 hours per week (evening)
